Summer 2025, CETAL will fund up to 25 participants to take the ACUE course Promoting Active Learning . This eight-week, online asynchronous course runs from June 3, 2025 through July 28, 2025. While the course is asynchronous, each module has defined deadlines for completion.
Course competencies include
Developing Effective Class Sessions and Lectures
Teaching Powerful Note-Taking Skills
Using Groups to Ensure Active Learning
Using the Active Learning Cycle
Planning Effective Class Discussions
Facilitating Engaging Class Discussions
Course rosters are dependent on ACUE’s enrollment, so while it is likely that ECC participants will be in a section with other ECC employees, it is not guaranteed. Per ACUE, each module typically takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete.
Course tuition paid for, for up to 25 ECC participants
Structured opportunities during the summer to connect with other ECC participants to share lessons learned and ideas
Faculty participants who complete the course will receive 18 CETL Workshop Clock Hours towards lane movement.
